Your 19 year old daughter has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for the murder of her friend. Although the evidence did not totally confirm that it was her, there were unfortunately no other suspects.
You confront your daughter asking for the truth and she says that she did kill her friend during an argument. When you asked her if it was an accident she mumbles "sort of."
You are heartbroken.
Over months of investigating, and looking over the case yourself, you find that there could be a slight possibility to lessen your daughters sentence significantly. However, the process of doing this would put you in total bankruptcy.
The decision must be made: do you help save your daughter who murdered her friend, or continue life with the rest of your family?
